Celebration Assembly
Once a week we hold a celebration assembly where children are recognised for their work and/or effort in class, birthdays are celebrated and staff share that week’s Outstanding Learning.
2 children from each Year group will be awarded a ’Good News’ certificate from the Headteacher.
Parents are invited to join us in the celebrations - Celebration Assemblies are at 2:30pm each Friday. Please note that at the end of each term we have the final assembly at 9:00am.
Please check with the school for any changes to these arrangements.
Hot Chocolate Fridays
Our reward system in school allows children to work towards Gold.
Children can move to Gold for exceptional work or for making a real difference, including being great ambassadors of the school.
The children were asked what reward they would like for achieving Gold status. They suggested going to share a hot chocolate with the Headteacher! Mrs Coxell readily agreed to this! It is a wonderful opportunity to spend time together and talk about why each child achieved Gold.
Following a suggestion by one of the children, in the warmer weather the children can enjoy a cold chocolate milkshake.
Everyone, especially Mrs Coxell, look forward to Hot Chocolate Fridays!
Feedback from the children
It encourages other people to do better and work harder.
Rewarding children and make them try their best is great.
I feel excited when I get to Gold.
I feel proud of myself and how I have done in my learning. Having the Gold motivates me to do better.
It feels really good, like you have accomplished something. It is nice to have the time to talk to the Headteacher.
Golden Clock Award
Each week classes with the highest attendance have the chance to earn 15 minutes extra playtime. Please help your children to achieve this by having excellent attendance and punctuality. Thank you.
