We are very proud of the children and their hard work to achieve these results, but an enormous thank you needs to be shared to their wonderful teacher and teaching assistants who have supported the children every step of the way.
Phonics Screening Check - Year 1
We are very proud of our year 1 children who achieved a fantastic 80% in their phonics screening check. These results will ensure the children have a strong grounding in their reading for the start of their year 2 learning journey and beyond. A heart felt thank you to our staff, parents and children for their hard work and dedication.

As a school we have a high percentage of children that require additional support for their Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs and we pride ourselves, on the fact, that we have a vast range of intervention to help remove barriers for these children. These include 1:1 input from our school support team, play therapy, ELSA, Zones of Regulation, Drawing and Talking, Lego therapy Canine Assisted Learning and our exceptional Nurture provision. We also work closely with eternal intervention teams like CSC, Early Help, NHS Mental Health Support Team, SEMH Team and Educational Psychologists to support these children too. Having SEMH needs creates a serious barrier to learning, therefore, we also examine the data without these children included.
See table below- when examining the data without pupils with SEMH.
