Welcome to Fox Hill Primary School

We are a single form entry school with a recently refurbished EYFS unit. We also have a very popular Nursery where we are able to offer 30 hours for children aged 3 plus. Many of our children start their Education here.

Fox Hill Aims

  • to promote a positive attitude to learning through enjoyment of school life and as a result to become confident and independent lifelong learners.
  • to provide an exciting and challenging curriculum matched to the needs of the child within a happy and caring environment.
  • to educate our children to look after the environment, be sensitive, tolerant and caring towards others and respectful of diverse beliefs, races and lifestyles.
  • to welcome and value everyone's contributions, including parents and the local community, as partners in education.
  • to encourage our children to try their best in all they do by celebrating their achievements.

Our website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community.

Headteacher's Welcome

I am very proud to have been leading our school since joining Fox Hill in September 2014.  Following our most recent Ofsted inspection on 25-26 September 2018, we have been judged to be a GOOD school.  We are delighted with this outcome as it is testament to our commitment and relentless drive for school improvement over the past four years.  Please take time to read the report, which can be accessed on this website or directly on Ofsted's website.

Fox Hill is a one-form entry Primary School in Easthampstead, which also offers 30 hours' Nursery provision.  We share our site with The Rowans Children's Centre.  The children who attend Fox Hill work hard and challenge themselves to do their best in all that they do.  We provide a broad and balanced curriculum, carefully planned to support the children in becoming global citizens.  We work in partnership with parents and carers, who support the school well.  I am very pleased to work with a team of committed staff and governors who share the school's ethos and vision.  We know that children learn best if they feel safe and cared for, which is at the heart of all we do.

Ofsted (September 2018) commented:  Leaders have secured strong values and a caring ethos at Fox Hill.  'Nurture, Inspire, Challenge and Excellence' threads throughout the school and pupils embody those qualities, and wider British values, in their words and actions.  Pupils leave school ready for life in modern Britain because they develop very positive attitudes and a palpable caring spirit.

Pupils behave well.  They demonstrate strong tolerance and respect for each other's views and beliefs.  Consequently they are well mannered and polite.

Please make an appointment to come and visit if you are interested in joining our school.  You will receive a warm welcome.
