Welcome to Year Two!

Reading: 

Information on how to support your child's reading using the new Little Wandle scheme will be available soon.

Times Tables:

It is very important that your child knows their times tables as this will support them in their Maths lessons. In Year 2 they should know their 2, 5 and 10 times tables. Later this term, Year 2 will take a weekly speedy tables test.

Spelling: 

Children in Year 2 are also expected to have learnt a number of common words. To support your child, please also encourage them to learn the Year 1 and Year 2 common words. These can be found on the spelling document below.

PE
Year 2 PE sessions will be taught on a Wednesday and a Friday. 

Please ensure that children wear their PE kit to school on these days - they should be in school PE kit.

Lessons will be outside as much as possible, so please ensure children are appropriately dressed as

the weather gets colder.  Long hair should be tied up and no jewellery should be worn for health and safety reasons.
